Winner of Hoosier Excellence Award for Best Home over $1M
This new build, first completed in March of 2023 burned to the ground a couple weeks before occupancy. Thankfully, no one was injured, and lighting and furnishings had not yet been installed. We were able to make a few edits to selections and layout for the second build. (We love and always look for Silver Linings!)
This home is the primary residence for an active family of four and full-time workspace for both husband and wife. With the builder, we established two, designated home offices in different areas of the footprint.
The wife, a busy executive, was a wonderful collaborator and injected her personality and wishes throughout. The goal was to make the space a reflection of them- a young, active, modern family while keeping the interiors classic to match the architecture of the home. As we always suggest, fabrics and furniture are friendly to overuse, pets, and visitors.
During the week, the empty nesters have peace and quiet, however; on the weekends, they happily welcome friends who drive 90 minutes from Chicago. This home is comfortable to any number of revelers from two to fourteen.
